Ransom Recipe Additions

 
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil 
  • Four salmon fillets
  • 1 can of coconut milk
  • 1 sliced lemon
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 2 tsp TM Spice Ransom

INSTRUCTIONS

  1.  Melt the coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the salmon with TM Ransom on both sides, then sear it in the coconut oil for 3 minutes. Remove to a plate. 
  2. Add the garlic to the skillet, then cook until fragrant but not overly browned, about 1 minute.
  3. Slice lemons and place on the pan. Place salmon on the lemon slices
  4. Pour the coconut milk into the skillet, whisking it to mix in the solids, and add additional sliced lemon ( reserving couple pieces for garnish). Bring it to a low simmer.
  5. Sprinkle it all over with dried dill. Cook uncovered for 5-6 minutes. Serve immediately on rice , or pasta or refrigerate for use in salads.

TM BALSAMIC RANSOM DRESSING

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

  • 1/4 cup EVOO (Extra virgin olive oil)
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon style mustard
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp honey 
  • 1 med shallot minced
  • 1 tsp TM Spice Ransom 
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

In a small mason jar, stir together all ingredients together - shake well before using.

TM CHEDDAR RANSOM BISCUITS 
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Ransom spice 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

  1. Preheat oven 425 degrees F (200 degrees C)
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, sugar, Ransom spice and cream of tartar. 
  3. Cut in butter using a pastry cutter or fork until it is the size of pees. 
  4. Make a well in the middle of the mixture and mix the milk and cheese into the well and gently mix until a soft dough forms. 
  5. Roll or pat out a floured surface to 3/4 inch thick. Cut into circles and place on a baking sheet. 
  6. Bake 10 minutes  in the preheated oven, or until the bottoms of the biscuits are golden brown. 

 

Prep Time:  15 min.  |  Cook Time: 10 min.  |  Total Time: 25 min.

 

TM CHEDDAR RANSOM BISCUITS 
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Ransom spice 

 INSTRUCTIONS

 Preheat oven 425 degrees F (200 degrees C)

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, sugar, Ransom spice and cream of tartar. 
  2. Cut in butter using a pastry cutter or fork until it is the size of pees.
